Terms of Use

These terms govern citysignalpro.life and any reprint licence City Signal Pro confirms in writing after an enquiry. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, leave the pages. Privacy is in the Privacy Policy. Cookies are in the Cookie Policy.

1. The newsroom

City Signal Pro is independent. We are not a town council, housing authority, or transport operator. Those names appear in stories because they are part of neighbourhood life, not because we speak for them.

2. What you get

You may read neighbourhood, transport, housing, and civic reporting in English without creating an account. There is no login and no payment form on this site. If you want to reprint one of our stories in a community circular, licences start from SGD 40. We do not list a top price because a one-off club newsletter is not the same as a commercial reprint. Fees are confirmed by email. Reading the site stays free.

A housing or transport note is true as of the time we wrote it. Notices change. We update when we learn of a material shift, but we do not warrant live completeness every minute.

3. Not advice, not an application desk

Housing stories explain public schemes. They are not a promise that you will receive a flat, a grant, or a rental unit. Transport stories describe delays and routes; they are not a guarantee that a train will run. Civic Watch records meetings; it is not legal advice. We do not submit forms to agencies on your behalf.

We do not promise prizes, instant outcomes, or guaranteed results from sending a tip or reading a page.

4. Tips and honest use

You may send a tip with a real name and a working email. Do not impersonate a neighbour or an official. Do not attach malware. Do not use the form as a bulk advertising channel. We may ignore or block abusive submissions. A tip is a lead; it is not a paid assignment unless we agree in writing.

5. Our copy and photographs

Text, layout, and original reporting on this site belong to City Signal Pro or our licensors. Short quotation for review or reporting is fine with credit and a link where practical. Copying a full article for commercial use needs a licence. Do not scrape the site to republish it as yours or to train a model on our files. Photograph file names are generic. Some images come from licensed libraries; viewing a page does not give you a sublicence. Ask before reuse.

6. Reprints

A reprint licence is written permission for a named story, channel, and period. It starts from SGD 40. Until we confirm in writing, you may not reproduce the full text. Credit must stay on the page or print.

7. Conduct

Do not attack the site, flood the form, or frame our pages as another publisher. Do not use our name to imply we are a government desk or a town council hotline.

8. Links and maps

Stories link out to agencies and operators. Their terms apply there. Google Maps on contact.php loads only after you accept functional cookies. Google’s rules apply to that embed.

9. Corrections

Tell us if a notice or a time is wrong. We decide how to correct the file. A correction is not an admission of liability. Do not rely on an old printout after we have updated the page.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Singapore law, we are not liable for lost time, missed buses, unsuccessful housing applications, or other indirect loss from using the site. Nothing here removes liability that the law will not let us remove, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Consumer rights that cannot be waived remain.

If liability is established in connection with the public website, it is capped at SGD 200 or what you paid us in the prior three months, whichever is higher, unless the law forbids that cap. A written reprint confirmation can set different terms for that licence only.

11. Indemnity

If you scrape, spoof, or republish our work without a licence, you will cover claims and reasonable legal costs that follow, to the extent the law allows.

12. Availability

We may take the site down to repair it, or stop a beat. We do not show one version of a URL to some visitors and another version to others.

13. Law

Singapore law governs. Singapore courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek an injunction elsewhere to protect our copyright.

14. Changes

We may update these terms and change the date above. Later use follows the new text. A reprint already confirmed in writing keeps its fee until we notify the billing email before the next cycle.

15. User content in tips

When you send a tip, you confirm that you have the right to share what you send, and that it is not knowingly false. You give us a non-exclusive right to use the facts in reporting, with or without naming you, as our standards require. You do not transfer copyright in a photograph unless we agree a separate licence. If we cannot verify a claim, we may not publish it at all.

Do not send medical records, bank statements, or identity documents unless a reporter has asked for a specific page with the rest redacted. We will delete unsolicited sensitive documents where we can do so without breaking a legal hold.

16. Force majeure and desks

Storms, rail closures, illness, or hosting faults may delay a follow-up. We will not treat a delayed reply as a refusal of a tip. If a meeting we planned to attend is cancelled, the Civic Watch file will say so.

17. Language and accessibility

The site is published in English for readers in Singapore. We aim for readable type, captions on photographs, and a skip link to the main content. If a page is hard to use with a keyboard or a screen reader, write to the newsroom and we will treat that as a defect in the file, not as a comment on the story.
